Sorry guys that i havent posted anything on my blog in a very long time, i have been very busy with university for the last few months or so working on coursework and presentations. Now that is out the way untill september i can now continue posting more rants on my blog!! Yeah for you guys!

My latest rant being my bloody HD-PVR unit i purchased recently. I brought it off play.com thanks to many good reviews; the whole idea of the thing is to record HD footage from video game consoles. Unfortunately due to some reason i cannot fathom the thing doesnt work properly on my Windows system. I'm on my second unit as i sent the first one back as i thought the thing was faulty, but as the new one i recieved is doing the same thing as the first unit i suspect its a software issue rather than a hardware fault. I'm really agitated as i have been wanting to create HD recordings for ages and ages now, and as the unit isn't working properlly it has put my other video plans on hold.

Isn't technology fantastic eh?....

I'm just about had enough of hearing stories about video games are the "culprit of damaging society" and that they are the reason teenagers often decide to commit mass murder these days. Excuse me, "Captain Ill informed" but i object to your moronic claims.

I often find phrases along these lines are popular amongst parents and politicians; as its definitely more convienient to place blame on the gaming industry for societies problems rather than actually trying to address the problems head on.

In my experience i find that more often than not its the parents and politicians that cause the most problems in society rather than the video games that they repeatedly chastise. There you go, my hat is in the ring and my opinion is set.

Not that i'm saying that I'm an expert and that i have the ultimate solution to the worlds woes, but i do know for a fact that playing this childish "blame the game" attitude isn't going to solve anything. So Parents and Politicians I do have a few small ideas you may want to write down.

Ill start off with the Westminster and White House Posse first: Whats wrong with actually trying to create fair government legislation for the gaming community? Maybe laws could be brought in to prevent companies from overcharging for their product, that would be good start and shows you are interested in protecting the rights of consumers. Just a thought....

Now for the estranged Family unit: Whats wrong with actually putting effort into raising your own offspring? Perhaps purchasing a copy of Manhunt 2 for your 12 year old child isn't in your best interest and it would be much better if you actually attempted to bond with your kids, organise a constructive family outing and spend quality time in each others company.

Is that too much to ask? I'm guessing so.

Progress being made...

Right, again its been nearly 2 weeks since i updated my Blog, sorry about that guys... Its become somewhat apart of my daily routine; eat some cake, do some university work, forget to update my blog, sleep etc.

I have been working on stuff in the background though, mainly maintenance stuff on my computer including backing up huge amounts of data to DVD discs and that is a very time consuming affair. The AI archive all the way from 2006 currently takes up something like 60+dvd discs, and its getting bigger all the time. Plus after a bit of research and testing i have come up with a breakthrough.

In my latest tutorial video i have released, it shows how to capture video game footage without having to deal with delays in control. I did the same tutorial ages ago but this time i included a piece of hardware that erases the delay in the controls while capturing the footage. So trying to review megaman 2 for the internet will no longer be the impossible task it was before.

The new AI podcast of 2010 is also now available to listen to on jellycast site, or if you prefer as a video version on the Blip.tv site. Just make sure if you want to listen on jellycast, subscribe to the new playlist as the old one is for last years set of podcasts. As for normal videos, my latest video game legend video will be released soon along with a new vlog that i plan to record sometime this weekend.

I do apologise to everyone waiting for new content from yours truely, however i do have an excuse for my extended absense. After making the full transisition to Blip.tv i have been working on, or at least trying to work on my own personal website. I worked on it for absolutely hours and hours and it was pretty much nearly ready for distribution, however i had to cancel the site as the hosting costs were simply astronomical.

I was essentially crushed as i spent all that work on the site for abolutely nothing, when i could have spent that time working on a new video instead. *sigh, it hasnt exactly been a great week for me, as im still recovering from the onslaught of abuse i recieved from the idiots of Youtube. So i please ask for patience while im picking up the pieces of my ego as it were ha ha, you will be pleased to know that my next video is on its way and i havent dissapeared completely.

Bungie's Be a Hero for Haiti Campaign...

Am i the only one who is sickened by this new campaign led by Bungie to donate to the little nation of Haiti?

For those who don't know Bungie (The developers of the recent Halo games) are launching a campaign which starts on Wednesday 20th of January in order to donate money to Haiti who was hit by a huge earthquake recently.

Bungies idea is that for every 100 players who logs on and plays Halo 3 online, they will donate $100. I have no objection to sending money to the country as it really does need it, but i really cannot help thinking that Bungie are exploiting Haiti's very bad situation in order to get more people to come back playing Halo 3 again.

If you think about it my idea is plausable as now Halo 3 is no longer the dominating force on xbox live, as many of those players now have moved onto Modern Warfare 2, Bungie will obviously want some of their players back and this campaign is perfect to get their popularity back.

Let me put it to you this way i were to donate $1000 dollars for example, i would only hand that money over if Haiti signed an contractual agreement with me and that is what essentially Bungie are doing with this tacky campaign.

Sitting on your ass all day and playing Halo 3 doesn't make you a samaritan and i say go F**k yourself if you believe otherwise. You are not really donating anything if your relying on someone else to pay on your behalf.

If you really care about these people in Haiti then forget Bungie and their ideas and donate money properlly. If you want to help out there are plenty of ways you can help out.

*Go To The Bank and hand over Cheques or Cash

*Go to any charity website and donate through them. UNICEF, The DEC, The Red Cross etc

*Paypal also allows for donations to the cause

My Initial Thoughts on The PS3

I have recently purchased my own PS3 slimline to really see what the machine is actually like. I cannot really give a verdict untill i have had a few hours playing the game to really understand whether or not the purchase was worth it.

I can say though i really am not impressed with the monstrous amount of time it takes to download updates when you first insert the disc into the system, its been like 15 minutes already and i havent even manged to get started yet. Are all games like this or is it just the odd one or two, i will soon find out.

Now i can actually do youtube videos based on the playstation, like video game retrospectives based on crash bandicoot amongst others and maybe the odd review aswell so please stay tuned everybody!!

My Bout of Hysteria and New Blog Layout

Well you can point and laugh because i have essentially been acting like a total clown with a bad case of schizophrenia. I have been essentially contradicting myself over my decision to move away from Youtube then changing my mind the next and then back again.

Well after a break i decided to take for myself i finally decided to stay on the site for good this time, as i have added up all the facts.

You get morons all over the internet, not just Youtube
Youtube has the biggest audience potential
There is nothing to stop me from posting to both Blip.tv and Youtube

So if you didnt get that i am continuing to post videos onto my youtube page, aswell as my Blip.tv account and Screwattack account. I want to reach as many people as i can and the best way to do so is to put up with the crap and just soldier on regardless. I will do a vlog on the subject soon which will be uploaded shortly onto the internet shortly.

In other news how do you guys like the new layout of my Blog, i have included Blip.tv streaming and this site now acts as a hub for all my content with new links and functionality so i hope you guys find it informative and useful. Speak later guys!!

It appears that i will not leave Youtube after all, as it turns out the new video website im moving to Blip.Tv supports cross posting over to Youtube itself. So i can upload videos onto Blip then they will get transferred over to youtube so thats fantastic, i wont have to deal with Google's crappy censorship policy as Blip.tv actually have brains in their skulls.

So i get to cater for the people who cant be bothered to check out my blip and i get to decide to make money on the material i make, fantastic man!! Why didn't i do this before....

Sorry guys i havent posted on my blog in a while, as im very busy at the moment and at times i can never remember what iw as going to write, thats what procrastinating does to you i suppose. Anyway i hope everyone had a nice christmas and happy new year so here is to 2010!!

I havent updated my blog in a while so its about time i posted something new. Well i havent really got much to say except i hope everyone has avery merry christmas year and they get all the presents that they asked for. Me, well i'm angling for an iphone but i doubt i will get one of those as its very expensive, but we can all have a dream right?

Well i have had a flood of subscribers on my channel for some reason, like 40 odd in one day which is annoying cause im moving by the end of the year from Youtube to Blip.tv I can't understand why they all come at once because my videos have been on there for a while now. My youtube flaws videos obviously have some mysterious pull about them, or am i just being cocky?

Well its been swell, after nearly 3 years of posting videos onto the prolific video website, and after much consideration im deciding to close my Youtube account to venture elsewhere. Why is this you ask? Well im getting tired of having to fight against the websites constant failings and cowardly users that are giving me pathetic anonymous scores, and i am simply not going to put up with them anymore. Ive made numerous videos on why this website no longer is fit for purpose and now i have completely lost the urge to carry on fighting the Google beaurocracy.

I do appreciate my hardcore fans that will follow me to the ends of the earth, but it is a decision i have to make and i really didn't want it to come to this. So when i feel ready i will make the appropriate annoucement and close my account for good, but fear not as i will not dissapear forever. As i will continue to post videos to my newly created Blip.tv account and now on my Screwattack account for the video game related stuff. So if you wish to keep in contact with me then don't hestitate to subscribe to my new video channels my twitter, facebook, podcasts amd Blog entires and don't hesitate to send me messages.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported mefrom the very beginning , Steviet7, BDT87, Nintendogreg and numerous others for helping me get to new heights on Youtube. Its very hard leaving the website i started off on but now that the site has declined in quality i really have no other choice if i wish to continue.

Yes its been a good while since i last made any contribution to the internet, no i havent been in a serious car crash thank god for that. No its just that i still have major essays to do and they are currently taking up all the time i have at the moment and i really dont want to make a video that is rushed if you see what i mean.

So when i do actually find the time to make some new material i will upload when i feel the stuff is ready for viewing on the internet; so i please ask everyone to be patient as i have some stuff in the pipeline, its just that i currently can't find any pockets of time to really work on them properlly. I think in the next few weeks in the run up to christmas i will then be able to resume with what i do best, reviewing video games. I will review the remixed perfect dark when that comes out on XBLA, untill then keep sending in your correspondance. See you guys later!!
